A BEIRAVICENTE

Desde há muitos anos que as nascentes localizadas em plena Serra da Gardunha, área protegida, integrada na Reserva Ecológica Nacional, com água pura, cuja qualidade era já reconhecida e verificada por laboratórios oficiais, provocavam o sonho do seu engarrafamento e comercialização. 

Para concretização de tal sonho foi constituída em Junho de mil novecentos e noventa e nove a “Beira Vicente – Exploração e Comercialização de Águas de Mesa, Lda.”, que iniciou a actividade de engarrafamento e comercialização de água em Março de dois mil e um.

Presentemente, a empresa dispõe de cerca de 200 hectares de terreno, em que se localizam as referidas nascentes, na Serra da Gardunha, cuja preservação constitui uma preocupação permanente.

Beiravicente, Lda. is the name of the bottling plant where Fonte da Fraga spring water is produced. All the water sources are located in a mountain named Gardunha, in the interior region of Portugal. This region is a part of the National Ecologic Reserve, very well known for the richness of its soils.

The quality of these region natural sources was the main reason why a small group of investors decided to promote here the creation of a new and highly technological water bottling plant.

In the present days, Beiravicente owns nearly 200ha in Gardunha mountain which natural preservation is one of the most important concerns of the Company.
